Commercial real estate firm C&K Properties announced Monday that Broadridge Financial Solutions has signed a lease to open a Newark office, bringing about 1,000 jobs to the city.
The financial services firm signed for 160,000 square feet of Class A office space at 2 Gateway Center, C&K said.
“We’re excited to welcome one of the most highly respected financial services firms in the world to the blossoming business community at 2 Gateway,” Ben Korman, co-founder and principal of C&K Properties, said. “This lease represents a major milestone not just for our building, but for Newark at large, with the addition of approximately 1,000 high-quality jobs to the market.”
Broadridge was represented by Managing Director Paul Amoruso and Director Michael Ciotta of Oxford & Simpson Realty Services.
C&K Properties was represented by Senior Vice President Dudley Ryan, Vice President Cheryl Hardt and associate Kadeem Goodall-Reid of CBRE New Jersey.
Broadridge, which is based in Lake Success, New York, currently has New Jersey offices in Jersey City, Marlton, Mount Laurel, Secaucus and Teaneck.
The 2 Gateway Center building is located within walking distance of Newark Penn Station.
